Biography
Tricia is originally from Moses Lake, Washington where she has lived with her family,
including her husband and four amazing children, over the past 22 years. She is an Eastern
Washington University Alumna and is excited to return to the Spokane area.
She has extensive experience working as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the past 18 years within the Moses Lake School District. Additionally, she was the program founder and
program director for Healing Horses Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization established in Moses Lake in 2016. Tricia is an active member with the Washington Occupational Therapy Association (WOTA), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Tricia enjoys spending time outdoors kayaking, paddle boarding, camping, hiking, and
riding horses. When she was a child, she developed a passion for horses that continued
into adulthood. One of her greatest joys is sharing the therapeutic benefits of combining
Occupational Therapy with Equine Therapy. Her favorite activity includes trail riding with
friends on her favorite quarter horse. Tricia enjoys working directly with families to assist in
providing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to improve functional performance
outcomes and increase quality of life for others. She is happy and honored to join the Joya
team and to share her passion for Occupational Therapy with others.
