NORTH AND WEST SPOKANE FAMILIES: SERVICES MOVING TO IN-CENTER OR TELEHEALTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY DUE TO THE FIRES

August 2, 2026

Dear Joya Families,

Because of the ongoing wildfire situation, we are making a temporary change to services on Monday  (8/3) and Tuesday (8/4). These changes are intended to help keep families and staff safe while allowing Joya to continue providing as much support as possible.

Monday and Tuesday:

  • Joya will not provide in-home or daycare visits in the North or West service areas.
  • Families in the North and West service areas will be offered either in-center appointments or telehealth visits.
  • Services in the South and East service areas will continue as scheduled.
  • Jumpstart services will continue as scheduled.

Joya teams will contact families in the North and West areas to arrange for in-center or telehealth services. If you haven’t heard from them, feel free to message via OhMD.

If you have questions or if wildfire-related circumstances are affecting your family’s ability to participate in services, please let your Joya team know.

If you need additional resources because of the fire, please let us know. We will do everything we can to connect you with local fire relief resources.

I would also like to ask for your understanding. Like you, some of our staff and their families have also been evacuated, displaced or have had their homes damaged.

We will review conditions again and share the plan for the rest of the week before the end of the day on Tuesday. Watch our website, social media and OhMD for updates.  Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we work to keep everyone safe.

Sincerely,

Colleen Fuchs
