Smart Giving

Make the most of your generosity to Joya! These Smart Giving options allow you to maximize your philanthropic impact while also receiving valuable tax and financial benefits. By choosing non-cash ways to give, you create lasting change for children and families while making the most of your personal finances.

Gifts of Stock

Donating appreciated stock is a tax-efficient way to give. You may avoid or reduce capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the securities. To make a gift of stock, please contact Olivia Gaete for our broker information.

Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is an easy, tax-efficient way to support Joya. You can make a contribution to your fund, receive an immediate deduction, and then recommend grants to help children and families when it’s right for you.

Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you are 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $108,000 per year directly from your IRA to Joya. This counts toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) and is not included in your annual taxable income – a great choice if you are over the age of 73!  Contact your administrator to make a gift.

Employer Matches

Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees, doubling your impact to Joya! Check with your employer to see if your gift qualifies. If necessary, we can provide a letter confirming your gift.

Every gift helps children and families grow and thrive
