Join Us

At Joya, volunteers are essential to our mission of supporting children and families. We offer diverse opportunities for you to contribute your time and skills, including event support positions, high school board roles, facility support tasks, and job shadowing or internship experiences.

Job Shadowing Opportunities

We collaborate with universities to offer lab experience and full-time internships for graduate students in professional programs. Contact your university’s clinical coordinator if you’re interested in professional education at Joya.

We also offer limited job shadowing opportunities, which may include observing group settings, assisting with activities, and, when possible, watching individual education or therapy sessions.

To help us place you appropriately, please fill out the form below.

Event Support

Joya holds several events each year to raise awareness and financial support for our program. From setting up for the spring auction to labeling containers for our annual penny drive, there are a number of opportunities to pitch in.

Please visit our Events page to see current opportunities to support an event by volunteering.

Volunteer Interest

Joya runs a lean operation when it comes to administrative staff. That’s why we always appreciate helping hands in the office. Volunteering for jobs big and small can make a huge difference.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Joya hosts various family and community events throughout the year where middle and high school students can lend a helping hand. It’s a great opportunity to gain volunteer experience, connect with the community and grow your skills. Please contact Joya’s Community Outreach & Volunteer Manager Tammy Sweeney at tammy.sweeney@joya.org for more information.
