Joe was raised a few blocks down Garland Street from the former Guilds’ School location and grew up chasing a soccer ball with his three awesome siblings. After completing most of his pre-req’s for international business at Gonzaga University, he learned they no longer offered that major, and pivoted to accounting, hearing through the grapevine that the Big 8 firms hosted pizza parties and recruited students right on campus! He landed on audit and IPO teams in Arthur Andersen’s Seattle office (RIP to the venerable firm, the dark suits and the red ties).
Since then, Joe has helped launch start-ups and drive emerging growth companies in Controller, CFO, Board Member and Investor roles, building accounting systems and leading financial teams in a variety of industries, from manufacturing to venture capital, from international fishing to software, bio-tech, and client services. Joe has served on numerous corporate and community boards, including the YMCA of the Inland Northwest and the Morning Star Foundation, as well as the Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program’s Advisory Board at Gonzaga. He loves to travel, hike, paddle and cheer on the Spokane Zephyr and Velocity soccer teams with his wife Katie, their two daughters and their people and pets.
