By donating to Joya, you’re helping kids thrive

For more than 60 years, our purpose has been simple—to nurture the full potential of families and their children. We have focused on care with the most impact, creating a distinctive model of pediatric therapy services worth replicating across the country. To keep our promise to help more children and families dealing with delays and disabilities today and in the future, we need community support from individuals, companies, and institutions.

When you give to Joya, you are giving hope

When you give to Joya, you are giving hope

Too often, parents are told there is little that can be done for their child with significant medical or developmental concerns. At Joya Child & Family Development, we see things differently. We celebrate every milestone and see miracles happen every day. We’re here to give families hope.

When you give to Joya, you are creating stability

No family is turned away for their inability to pay. The Joya Foundation ensures that the cost of services not met by insurance, Medicaid, or other government sources is covered. 70% of our families are Medicaid eligible. Unfortunately, government support dwindles each year and operating costs grow, so philanthropy must make up the difference.

When you give to Joya, you are making a difference

We get results: 100% of our children show a gain in skills and more than half (58% in FY 21-22) of our children reach age-appropriate levels, meaning they will not require special services by the public school system.

Planned giving

There is no other place like Joya Child & Family Development in our region. We are eastern Washington’s only Neurodevelopmental Center of Excellence. To continue helping children who experience developmental delays and disabilities, we need to plan for the future. There are many ways that you can be a part of that future. A planned gift to the Joya Foundation helps ensure children and families in Spokane County will continue to get the best early intervention services possible, for decades to come. Joya Child & Family Development is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Other gifts

Your help is needed more than ever before. Less funding from the government each year means we have to rely more heavily on the generosity of community members like you. Every gift, no matter how large or small, is a treasure and carefully spent to ensure that children receive the physical, occupational, speech/language and cognitive therapies they need. When you give to Joya, you invest in the future and enrich the lives of children and families forever.

Capital Campaign

First as the Spokane Guilds’ School, and now as Joya, we have delivered the highest quality care in limited spaces for decades. We finally found an opportunity to create a brand-new home built exclusively for Joya—and we seized it.

In May of 2022, our decades long dream of owning our own home came to reality when we moved into our new home. Since then, we’ve embarked on our vision to transform what is possible for children in Spokane County and their families, through a facility designed to double our capacity and unleash the full potential of our mission.
