Sammy Simpson

Sammy grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and moved to Spokane in 2020 to be closer to extended family. After several years working in nonprofit and sales roles, she returned to school to pursue a career in speech-language pathology.

Kimberly Sherman

Kim grew up across the street from Chief Garry Park here in Spokane. From a young age, she developed a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for the Spokane community.

Wayne Mathews

Wayne was born and raised in Spokane. He has 29 years in Facility and Industrial Machine Maintenance and loves every minute of it.

Alyssa Takamura

Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Alyssa moved to Washington to attend Washington State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development.

Mariette Nascimento

Mariette grew up in Southern California and moved to Seattle for her Master’s in Speech Pathology in 2009. She spent 5 years working in the Chicago area – first in a school district and then at Lurie Children’s.

Erin Perry

Erin started her career in Early Intervention on the west side of the state and developed a passion for working with infants and toddlers.

Brittani Magni

Brittani was born and raised in Spokane. She earned her undergraduate degree from Whitworth University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University. Early in her education, she observed pediatric physical therapy sessions and discovered her love for working with children in such a creative way.

Laurel Graham

Laurel has a master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Deaf Education. After a few years living in Salt Lake City, she returned home to Spokane and appreciates all there is to do around the city.

Tricia Summers

Tricia enjoys working directly with families to assist in providing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to improve functional performance outcomes and increase quality of life for others. She is happy and honored to join the Joya team and to share her passion for Occupational Therapy with others.
